1. Enter the domain of your website followed by "/administrator".

2. Login
|

Uploading Images For Website Use
1. Select the "Site" tab and click on "Media Manager".
|

NOTE: All images and their respective sub-folders must be placed within the Joomla "/stories" directory.
2. From the "Directory" drop down box, select "/stories".
|
|

3. In the "Create Directory" box on the upper right side of the page, enter the word "images". Click the "Create" icon in the upper right corner.

4. Upload the images:
A. Browse for the "File to Upload" on your computer. (.gif and medium quality .jpeg images are best - these pictures should already be sized for the website.)
B. From the "Directory" drop down on the left side of the screen, choose the "/stories/images" directory that was just created.
C. Click the "Upload" icon on the upper right of the page.
4. Repeat step number three for any additional images
(NOTE: If your website has a store, there is no need to upload the product images here. View the VirtueMart product tutorial for more information.)

5. Logout in the upper right corner of the screen.

1. Login on the home page of your website.
|
|

Editing Page Content
1. Click the "paper/pencil" icon next to the current page content.
|
|

2. Within this page you can edit the "Title" and the "Intro Text".
(NOTE: You will notice when you scroll down the page the the is a section for "Intro Text" and a separate section for "Main Test". There is no need to utilize the "Main Text".)
3. To change the style of the "Intro Text" select the "AA" icon. (NOTE: Pop-up blockers may have to be disabled on the site for this to function correctly)
4. Always remember to click the "Save" icon when finished applying changes to your website pages.

Adding Images To a Page
1. Click the "paper/pencil" icon next to the current page content.

2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page where the "Images" tab will be highlighted.
3. Select the folder that contains the images that you have uploaded to the site from the "Administrator Back-End". (NOTE: This will probably be the "/images/" folder if previous instructions on this tutorial were adhered to)

4. Select the image under the "Gallery Images" that you would like to utilize for this article. Click the "Insert" button.

5. Under the "Content Images" column, highlight the image that you would like to edit by clicking on it. The "Up" and "Down" buttons will set the order that images will appear on the page as will be seen in the next couple of steps.
6. Experiment with the "Edit the Image" column to achieve the desired affects after inserting the image into the page.
(NOTE: "Alt Text" is the text displayed when a user places their mouse over your image. Typically "Align" will look best with "Left" or "Right" selected.)
7. Click the "Apply" icon in the top left.

8. Place the following tag where you would like the image placed:

9. Click the "Save" icon in the upper right corner of the page.
